Day 26- "Stadium Music"

Sooo, the first peek of anything full from the new Day 26 album (set to release April 14th) has surfaced. The Brian Michael Cox-produced aka "B-Cox Joint" kinda finds me with a mixed feeling. Seems a little more of the same for me, if not overproduced and over-thought. However, if Day 26 follows the same path as Danity Kane, this should prove to be a better album for them, probably sporting more of a distinct direction than the first. But if this is the direction, I may have to pass.

FINALLY!!!

Now, I'm nothing near a hater, but am I the only one a little excited that Wrigley's decided to stop the Chris Brown ads due to his current... situation? Tough break, but that commercial gets on my nerves.

Barechested Buddy Breakup!!

Sooo, apparently these is now beef between these two ever-barechested buddies. I wonder what made them fall out??? Maybe soulja boy can explain.... lol
Long story short, Bow Wow made some comments (as usual), Soulja Boy replied and EVERYTHING is on youtube for the world to laugh at.

The statement that started it all [From Bow Wow]

Soulja Boy Fires Back Diss to Bow Wow

Grammy Wrap-Up

The Grammy's last night was ummmm, ok. Starting off with a performance I really could care less about - I happen to believe Coldplay is HIGHLY overrated, and then Whitney Houston presenting the first award (Clive really pulled some strings last night.) I estimate that around 5-7 awards were actually given out on TV, and I wish their had been more. For a show that was jam-packed by sooo many performances, why did they have the same stars performing over and over again ie. Justin Timberlake, T.I., Lil Wayne?? It just kinda got old. All in all, it wasn't bad, but I wasn't necessarily happy I recorded it to my DVR... in other words, I probably won't be replaying any of it.

Jennifer Hudson DID deserve this one, at least.
...And I am staying AT LEAST 50 feet away from the Chris Brown/Rihanna beat down fiasco. I'll leave that one up to the gossip columns.

Standout Performances:

1.Justin Timberlake & Al Green- Let's Stay Together... Classic
2. Radiohead- 15 Steps... Definitely made me a fan
3. Katie Perry- I Kissed a Girl... definitely gave life to the show.
4. Four Tops (remaining member), Ne-Yo, Smokie Robinson, and Jamie Foxx... Jamie almost ruined it for me tho. All that running around wasn't necessary.
5. ---That's it. So, I guess it's a top 4.

Little Katie Courage

Okay, so I know EVERYONE has been talking about this interview between Katie Couric and Lil' Wayne. Most people discuss Lil' Wayne's responses to Katie's question. I'd like to just bring to light the fact that Katie asks some pretty tough questions to wayne. I would even venture to say that this was the best interview I have ever seen done on Lil' Wayne. She is asking all the good questions... I could care less about the relationship between him and Nivea, Superhead, Solange, or whoever he has been linked to.

Now, in relation to what it did for the African-American community in the eyes of other cultures, let's just say that I don't think it gave Obama another kudo for waving his "magic wand" making yet another thing seem to get better. I may not like everything he said, however, I do respect his right to say it.
